A reception held Tuesday, May 23, celebrated the contributions of Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) classified employees.

Sacramento County Superintendent of Schools Dr. David P. Meaney read aloud Sacramento County Board of Education Resolution No. 00-3, which recognizes May 21–27, 2000 as "Classified Employees Week." He presented the framed resolution to Paul Roesch, President of the Classified School Employees Association, Chapter 480.

Decorative signs and a specially decorated cake conveyed the message: "Thank you." Board Vice President Elinor L. Hickey, Area I Trustee, joined Superintendent Meaney in wearing lapel pins that stated, "Teamwork Makes It Work."

Employees took a break from their busy schedules to enjoy cake, punch, and coffee during the morning reception, which was held in the lunchroom of the SCOE Administrative Building on Lincoln Village Drive.
