Sacramento County READS Community Partners

One of the goals of the Sacramento County READS Initiative is to create connections between community leaders and organizations to support literacy within local contexts and countywide. Improving literacy outcomes is a shared responsibility that extends beyond the classroom, and meaningful change happens when schools, families, community organizations, libraries, businesses, and other local partners work together toward a common vision. Community partners bring unique strengths, resources, relationships, and perspectives that can expand opportunities for children and families to engage with literacy in meaningful and accessible ways. By connecting and collaborating across sectors, we can build a stronger, more coordinated community-wide culture of literacy and help ensure that every learner in Sacramento County has the opportunity to become a confident, proficient reader.

“Coffee and Community” Collaboration Sessions

SCOE will host three virtual Coffee and Community collaboration sessions designed to connect community partners and create opportunities to learn from and support one another. Join online with a morning cup of coffee to connect, share ideas, and explore how to work together to strengthen literacy opportunities and outcomes for learners across the community. Sessions will be conducted via Zoom:
