Sacramento County Office of Education

The Culinary Café is a “school-to-world” partnership between educational programs within the Special Education Department at the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE). It serves students from throughout the county, offering the opportunity to learn skills necessary for success in the food services profession. SCOE students join the region’s “farm-to-fork” movement as part of the Urban Oasis Project, a horticulture program that helps students build career skills. Produce grown by students in the program is included in many of the dishes served at the Culinary Café.

The Culinary Café serves lunch on specific days during the traditional school year (typically on alternating Thursdays from 12–1 p.m. from November through May). It is located on the Leo A. Palmiter Junior/Senior High School campus: 2040 Ethan Way, Sacramento, CA 95825.
