The “Teaching” division of the School of Education includes an Intern Program, Teacher Residency Program, and Induction Program. The Teacher Intern Program supports candidates in a variety of ways during their mandatory “pre-service” and during their time as full-time teachers during the two years of Intern Program. The Teacher Residency Program is an innovative teacher preparation program built upon an accelerated course of study centered around a yearlong student teaching placement at a single school site. The Teacher Induction Program supports teachers who have earned their preliminary credentials, are in their first two years of teaching with their preliminary credentials, and are working to further develop their teaching practice.
