Teacher Induction Program
The Sacramento County Office of Education Teacher Induction (SCOE TI) program offers a two‑year, Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC)-approved program for preliminary multiple subject, single subject, and education specialist credential holders to earn a clear teaching credential. The program is designed to be practical, relevant and job-embedded. Induction participants will develop Individualized Learning Plans customized to their unique needs and based on the 2024 California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP).
Through a continuous process of planning, reflection, and application, Induction participants will develop progress towards mastery of the skills outlined in the CSTP. To support this skill development, participants will engage in peer observation, observation by the Induction mentor and analysis of student data to determine the impact of the teacher’s skill development on student performance.
Participants in the Teacher Induction program will:
- Have free access to a dynamic website for monitoring progress
- Engage with a consortium of colleagues and partners with a common purpose
- Participate in professional growth through networking and training
- Have access to online resources designed to customize your professional growth experience
Mission Statement
The mission of the SCOE Teacher Induction Consortium is to develop and retain high-quality practitioners for every student through a robust system of mentoring support that results in teacher reflection and professional growth within his or her personal teaching context.
