Teacher Induction District Partners
Purpose and Rationale
California Induction Programs are designed to provide a two-year, job-embedded and individualized support for teachers in their first years of teaching. Completing induction is required in order for a teacher to clear their preliminary multiple subject, single subject or education specialist credential. The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is a Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) accredited provider for Teacher Induction.
District Benefits
Teachers participating in SCOE’s Teacher Induction program are provided weekly coaching and support from a qualified mentor. Mentors are selected by the school site and trained by SCOE Induction, offering districts the opportunity to develop their teacher leadership pool. Through a customizable program based on teacher and student needs, induction participants are ready to meet the demands and needs of students and the communities they serve.
