Prevention & Early Intervention provides technical assistance and training opportunities for educators and community members interested in preventing tobacco use among children and youth. Program-related services include workshops and institutes; technical assistance to help districts prepare applications for funding and meet program compliance requirements; and coordinating countywide trainings.
Educators, parents, community members, counselors, and nurses. All Sacramento County school districts, SCOE Special Education and Court and Community Schools may participate.

Prevention & Early Intervention Department Programs and Services
Published annually, this brochure provides an overview of department programs and services and lists scheduled workshops and meetings. Publication may be requested by phone.
TUPE is a state-funded program supported by the 1988 Proposition 99 California Tobacco Tax. Partners include California Department of Education; state and local health departments; county/district prevention coordinators; district/school personnel; parents/students/community members; community-based organizations; law enforcement and health agencies.
