The K–12 Curriculum and Instruction Department provides high quality professional development, instructional coaching, expert technical assistance, and strong leadership to improve achievement in schools and districts. Department staff work with teachers, instructional coaches, and education leaders in both schools and districts to develop the knowledge and skills needed for schools and districts to engage in a systematic and sustainable improvement process. This work brings together resources from a variety of sources to improve instruction, close the achievement gap for identified student subgroups, build a collaborative culture, and strengthen site and district capacity to raise achievement for all students.
The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) has partnered with others in the CCSESA Capital Service Region (Region 3) to create a
District Improvement Support website where visitors can access a wide variety of print materials, videos, and links to online resources.
An instructional Curriculum Breakfast is held several times each year where educators can network and learn about current education information. Online registration for the meetings opens approximately one month prior to each event.
