Students are the driving force behind SCOE's Culinary Arts Program. Participants, from Leo A. Palmiter and Elinor Lincoln Hickey Jr./Sr. High Schools, are young people with special needs who've had difficulty with the conventional school environment. Students in this program learn to prepare meals, maintain a clean kitchen, operate a business, and serve customers in the Culinary Café (located on the Palmiter campus). They learn skills designed to help them find employment in the food services profession.

Culinary Café Schedule/Menu
The Café opens during the traditional school year, typically serving meals on Thursdays from November through May. Menu items are published as they become available.
