Spring 2026 Institute to Help Counselors Sharpen Skills

Inspire, Motivate, and Rejuvenate at Two-Day Conference

SCOE anticipates more than 300 counselors from Northern California will attend the 2026 Counselor Spring Institute this March.

School counselors play a vital role in enhancing every student’s academic success, college and career readiness, and social–emotional development. Continuing education opportunities ensure these critical school staff stay informed about the latest techniques, mental health trends, and best practices for promoting student well-being. This spring, counselors and support professionals across Northern California are encouraged to attend the premier event for counselors: the March 2026 Counselor Spring Institute.

The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) anticipates more than 300 PK–14 counselors will attend the annual conference, which SCOE is offering in partnership with California State University, Sacramento (CSUS).

Attendees will:

  • Connect to foster unity in the profession
  • Advocate for students
  • Relate to one another for support
  • Educate to continuously develop skills

Dates and Details

Dates: March 24–25, 2026 (8 a.m.–3:30 p.m.)
Location: California State University, Sacramento
Cost: $350 (includes conference registration, continental breakfast, lunch, and parking)

  • Lyndsay Morris—founder of Generation Wellness
  • Terri Tchorzynski, MA—Senior Director of Professional Learning at Hatching Results and 2017 National School Counselor of the Year
