The Teacher Intern Program, operated by the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE), is looking for exactly these types of dedicated people who dream of empowering students through a career in teaching. About the Program
The Teacher Intern Program, approved by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC), is an intensive, two-year program that’s an excellent option for recent college graduates or professionals seeking a rewarding second career as a teacher. The program is recruiting for its next cohort, which will start in the 2023–24 school year. Space is limited!
After completing a five-month pre-service program, candidates can get started as full-time teacher interns. They start earning a salary, benefits, and retirement credits for their classroom work as they’re earning their credential. The interns receive outstanding support throughout the whole process, working closely with an on-site mentor and receiving ongoing coaching from SCOE supervisors and faculty from the SCOE School of Education.
