Natalie Mayes Woods has been selected as the appointee for a seat on the SCOE Personnel Commission.

The Personnel Commission of the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is announcing that it intends to select Natalie Mayes Woods, Ed.D. as its appointee to the Commission. SCOE announced in August 2022 that it was seeking applications for a seat on its Personnel Commission. The appointment will be effective December 1, 2022.

The Commission consists of three members—one appointed by the Sacramento County Board of Education, one appointed by the classified collective bargaining employee unit (CSEA Chapter 480), and a third selected by the other two commissioners. This opening was for the “Commission Appointee” position.

The Personnel Commission is the public body responsible for the administration of SCOE’s Merit System—a civil service system for classified employees that fosters the advancement of career service. Commissioners serve a three-year term.
