The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is holding a hiring event that streamlines the process of learning about and applying for its Para Educator position serving students with significant needs.

SCOE is seeking compassionate people who have a high school diploma, or equivalent, to support special education students by assisting teachers in providing academic and life-skill instruction. Multiple full-time and substitute staff are needed at locations across Sacramento County.

Hiring Event Details

The hiring event is Saturday, September 10, 2022 from 9 a.m.–2 p.m. at SCOE’s David P. Meaney Education Center (10474 Mather Blvd., Mather, CA 95655).

The event will offer a streamlined experience, allowing people to:

  • Ask questions,
  • Get details about the position, learn about programs and classrooms,
  • Complete an application,
  • Take the proficiency test (on-site), and
  • Complete an oral exam (on-site).
