Personnel Commission Selects Rebecca Taylor as Appointee

Commissioners Administer SCOE Merit System

SCOE News

The Personnel Commission of the Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is announcing that it intends to select Rebecca Taylor as its appointee to the Commission.

SCOE announced in August that it was seeking applications for a seat on the SCOE Personnel Commission. The Commission consists of three members—one appointed by the Sacramento County Board of Education, one appointed by the classified collective bargaining employee unit (CSEA Chapter 480), and a third selected by the other two Commissioners. This opening was for the “Commission Appointee” position.

The Personnel Commission is the public body responsible for the administration of SCOE’s Merit System—a civil service system for classified employees, and for fostering the advancement of career service for such employees. Commissioners serve a three-year term.
