March 2–8, 2003, has been declared "Week of the School Administrator" by the Sacramento County Board of Education in honor of the many outstanding contributions and services provided by the administrative teams in the Sacramento County Office of Education.
The Sacramento County Board of Education voted unanimously at its February 18 meeting to adopt a resolution recognizing school administrators.
California Education Code Section 44015.1, added by the statutes of 1999, Chapter 286 (AB 1137), designates the first full week in the month of March each year as "Week of the School Administrator" in observance of the importance of educational leadership at the school, school district, and county levels.
