Adult Education
The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) Adult Education division provides technical assistance, professional development, coordinated communication services, and capacity building to adult education agencies throughout California. Team members and subject matter experts from the three departments listed below - work creatively with partners to provide support for those in the field. Their goal is increasing adult learners’ success—in their post-secondary education, career, and in the community—no matter where they are in their educational journey.

The Capital Adult Education Regional Consortium (CAERC) is comprised of 14 members and 24 partners from throughout the Los Rios Community College District geographical boundary. CAERC’s Regional Priorities are to: Build and Expand Adult Education Offerings, Develop Alignment and Pathways, Increase Student Support Services, and Enhance Data and Accountability Systems.
OTAN—the Outreach and Technical Assistance Network—provides electronic collaboration and information, and support for instructional technology and distance learning to literacy and adult education providers in California.
