The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices located throughout the state. Approximately 650 regular and more than 950 temporary and substitute SCOE staff work year-round providing services that complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in Sacramento County. The Sacramento County Board of Education celebrates the accomplishments and exemplary service of SCOE employees through the Employees of the Month Program.

Sharon Saldana, Office Assistant, Administration was nominated by Wende Watson, Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. Saldana supports the Administration Team in various ways including answering multiple telephone lines and greeting individuals in person, always with a polished and professional demeanor. Recently, Saldana successfully processed a multitude of SCOE room reservation requests as in-person activity returns to our facilities for 2022–23, working with staff to resolve room conflicts and meet program needs. She supports the team with clerical tasks, such as processing donation thank you letters and data collection. Saldana handles the shopping, ordering, and food preparation for Cabinet and Board meetings among other events. She is a team player with a great sense of humor. She is punctual, reliable, and can be counted on to assist wherever needed. Sharon Saldana has been a SCOE employee since 2020.
