The Sacramento Republic FC (SRFC) United Soccer League team hosted education staff at Papa Murphy’s Park last Saturday, June 1. Staff who were nominated by local school districts to compete in the
2019 Sacramento County Classified Employees of the Year, along with their families and friends, were treated to a game. Joining the employees were Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) Communications Director, Tim Herrera, and SCOE staff.
During halftime, the honorees were presented with Sac Republic commemorative bags. The game ended on a celebratory note as the Sacramento Republic FC won 2–1 against the San Antonio FC.
Sacramento County Classified Employees of the Year Program
Sacramento County Classified Employees of the Year program is coordinated annually by SCOE to acknowledge and promote the efforts of all the outstanding classified (non-certificated, non-management) education staff in the county. Those who are recognized for this honor are selected for exemplary performance that contributes significantly to the success of school district programs, services, and special projects.
