English Language Arts, Kindergarten through Grade 6
The English Language Arts program at this school is comprised of the use of Sopris-West, Step Up to Writing, 2002, SRA Open Court Grammar, and a variety of readers. Revisions in the list of readers used are required because of lack of availability of some of the titles. A standards map is also required to ensure that all grade appropriate English Language Arts standards are covered.
English Language Arts, Grades 7 and 8
There are an insufficient number of Holt Literature and Language Arts, Courses 1 and 2, texts for students enrolled in Grades 7 and 8.
Science, Kindergarten through Grade 7
The SCOE review team did not find any science materials in the Grades K-7 classrooms.
History/Social Science Grade 7
While there is a sufficient number of Houghton Mifflin Across the Centuries, 1991 available for student in Grade 7, because of the age of the materials found in the classroom, we believe the textbooks may not be consistent with content and cycle of the state curriculum frameworks and state adopted content standards.
