There are an insufficient number of instructional materials for students identified to receive core science instruction in this self-contained special education classroom. (Education Code Section 51210 describes the adopted course of study for grades 1-6. Education Code Section 1240(h) requires the county superintendent of schools to enforce the course of study. History and science are required courses of study for grades 1-6, including classes designated for learning handicapped.)
