Kindergarten
Most of the kindergarten English/language arts standards are not taught until first grade and some are not taught until Grade 2. Twenty of the 38 content standards for English/language arts at this grade are not taught.
First grade
At least 11 of the English/language arts standards are not taught until Grade 2.
Second Grade
At least five of the grade two standards are not taught until either Grade 3 or Grade 4.
Third grade
There are at least five content standards that are not taught until Grade 4.
Fourth Grade
Several English/language arts standards are not taught until Grade 7.
Fifth Grade
At least four English/language arts standards are not taught until Grade 6 and one that this deferred until Grade 7.
Sixth Grade
At least seven English/language arts standards are not taught until Grade 7.
