Social Studies: Kindergarten
There is an insufficiency of instructional materials for Kindergarten social studies in that the review team did not observe any Houghton Mifflin Big Books for use by the 24 students enrolled in Kindergarten, Room 1. The team was informed that although the Big Books were used in 2004-05 these books are no longer used, leaving no textbooks or instructional materials for social studies in Kindergarten.
Social Studies: Grade 1
There is an insufficiency of instructional materials for Grade 1 social studies in that the review team did not observe any Houghton Mifflin Big Books for use by the 18 students enrolled in Grade 1, Room 4. The team was informed that although the Big Books were used in 2004-05 these books are no longer used, leaving no textbooks or instructional materials for social studies in Grade 1.
