Program Philosophy

We believe that all children can learn when we provide developmentally appropriate curriculum and a learning environment with the team approach. As a team, we value collaboration between staff and parents so the family makes the most important influence on our successful inclusive practices. We also value the close relationship with infant and toddler programs, county programs, other community early preparation programs, and kindergarten programs.

What is Offered

Inclusion - a fully inclusive program for typically developing children and children with special needs
Family involvement - home visits, bilingual services, monthly parent education workshops in child development
Collaboration - transdisciplinary services for children and parents by on-going communication between Child Education Deparment and Special Education Department

Opportunities for Observation:

Inclusive practices for preschool children with different abilities
Early intervention for children with special needs
Team collaboration between home, school, and appropriate support services from Head Start and Special Education Department
Monthly parent meetings
Home visits
Embedding goals and interests into daily routines
Developmentally appropriate classroom environment and daily schedule

Who You Will Meet

Parents, teachers, designated instructional service staffs (speech and language specialist, adaptive physical education teacher, social workers), children
