Education, Training & Experience
Ms. Ryan has had the ongoing opportunity to interact with national, state and local programs serving families and children with disabilities. As a participant on the California Department of Education's Special Education Division's Verification Review Team, Ms. Ryan has facilitated parent input meetings statewide and has reviewed preschool and infant student records of children receiving services through Local Educational Agencies (LEAs).
Ms. Ryan has presented at both state and national conferences and has provided various training and technical assistance to LEAs throughout California requesting assistance on varied topics.
Through the WarmLine Family Resource Center, Ms. Ryan previously worked as a Resource Specialist, providing parent-to-parent support, resources and information in many areas including disabilities, early intervention, education, inclusion, advocacy, special education law and community programs. She's also worked within a United States Air Force Family Support Center, assisting military families with necessary resources.
