JASPER DEAN RIGGINS
(Born:February 22,1917; Died March 18,1997)

Mr. Jasper Dean Riggins was born on February 22,1917 in Prescott, Arkansas. His mother, Mary (Turner) Riggins was born on May 23, 1881 in Clinton Co., Missouri. His father, Jasper Coffee Riggins was born on May 30,1863 in Worth Co., Missouri. Jasper Dean Riggins was the fifth of six children.
When he was a baby the family moved to Arizona where he grew up and graduated from Mesa Union High School at the age of sixteen. He then went to work as a fireman. Dean was a Sergeant in world War II. As a wing camera repairman in the Army Air Corps he traveled all over Europe, England, Ireland, Germany, France, and his favorite, Italy. After the war he taught electronic counter measures as well as still and movie photography at Front Momoth. He held various jobs but most of his life he was a freelance commercial photographer.
Mr. Riggins was married three times. First to Martha Lipson in 1943, and he had a son named Dean Dell Riggins. His second marriage was to Imogene Gemme in 1940. They had a daughter named Barbara Riggins. Both of these children were taken from his life, and in his later years he tried to find them. Barbara died of MS and Dean Dell died in a car accident when he was in his 30"s. Dean's third marriage was to Marion Ella Sigle on May 29,1954, in Franklin Park, New Jersey. They had four boys, David, Doug, Tom and Shawn.
Dean and Marion moved from New Jersey to Arizona then to Hermosa Beach ,California to raise their family . David Riggins now lives in Austin, Texas. Doug and Rosa Riggins live in Maryland. Tom and Robbin Riggins live Elk Grove. Shawn Riggins lives in Folsom. Marion Riggins remains in their home in Orangevale.
