Alva Alfred Bowman was born in Monmouth, Oregon. He was born on November 19, 1910. For 40 years he lived in Elk Grove. Alva retired as a worker for Elk Grove School District in maintenance after 9 years. He also retired as a dairy farmer. For 50 years Mr. Bowman was a member of Modern Woodman. He was also was a member of the Elk Grove Grange No. 86. His wife is Lorena Bowman. He had 2 sons and 2 daughters. They are:

Alva, of Elk Grove, died at the age of 85 on April 14, 1996 after a lengthy illness.
