Employee Recognition Day In-Service

The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) launches the school year with its annual Employee Recognition Day in-service—the only time all SCOE staff members from across the region are able to come together in one place. Previously called Quality Commitment Day, the annual half-day event started in 1986 and is planned/coordinated by a small group of SCOE staff. During the event, the County Superintendent highlights accomplishments and outlines goals for the year. Employees receive awards for milestone years of service and retirees are recognized. Key insurance and investment companies, plus other relevant vendors, provide helpful information to staff. A keynote speaker traditionally discusses inspirational and relevant topics, and department/program display tables help staff learn about the responsibilities and accomplishments of their peers.
