August 2007 Employee of the Month

The Sacramento County Office of Education (SCOE) is one of 58 county offices located throughout the state. Approximately 700 full-time and more than 2,500 part-time SCOE staff work year-round providing services which complement and supplement those offered by public school districts in the County of Sacramento. Over 230,000 K-12 students are served by public schools in Sacramento County.
August 2007 Classified Employee of the Month
Sandy Patterson, a Financial Analyst, was nominated by Financial Services Coordinator Becky Taylor for her contributions to the Sacramento County Office of Education. Ms. Patterson works in the Financial Services Department located at SCOE's Mather site. She provides accounting support to the Prevention and Student Services Department, the Capital Region System of District & School Support, and Williams oversight. In her prior role as Account Technician, she provided support to SCOE's Juvenile Court Schools, Community Schools and Regional Occupational Program. Ms. Patterson is known for her willingness to help colleagues with projects and her ability to provide quality work despite interruptions and heavy workloads. Her supervisor says, "Sandy is energetic, considerate and reflects a positive attitude to those with whom she works. I am always impressed by her willingness to learn more about the departments and programs she works with to better provide quality support to them. We are very grateful to have her on our team." Ms. Patterson has been employed by the Sacramento County Office of Education since January 2004.
