Program Philosophy
We are a family-focused center providing educational and therapeutic services to children from birth to three years old who are at risk for or have developmental disabilities. We are affiliated with the CSULA Division of Special Education and serve families living in the surrounding culturally diverse communities. In-home and center-based services are available based on family and child needs. Services are provided through a play-based, transdisciplinary approach.
What is Offered
- Family involvement and support - weekly home visits; bi-lingual home teachers; weekly bilingual support group; parent education in child development, special needs and advocacy.
- Inclusion - consultation services for toddlers with special needs in community preschool/day care programs; pilot program information about inclusive class for toddlers.
- Collaboration - with community agencies including Head Start, CSULA (staff development, transdisciplinary services for children, parent education), school districts and regional centers (parent education, child & family services, transition planning, and advocacy).
